How To Bake

Sometimes you just don't have time for the oven to heat up. You need cookies now. Sometimes you don't want to heat up the kitchen. Sometimes you just want to mix and enjoy--or mix and treat the kids. You need no bake cookies.

If you haven't heard of overnight baked French toast, this is a great introduction. You can make it in advance, up to three days, in the evening—so no busy mornings. On the morning of your event, take it out of the fridge and pop it in the oven. All the work is done.
There is a recipe for cream syrup if you want to add something fancy.

You can make your biscuits from scratch or from a mix. If you use a just-add-water biscuit mix, you don’t have to stop and measure. You don’t have to cut the butter into the flour with a pastry knife. Just add water, form, and bake.
You can also make your gravy from scratch although a just-add-water gravy mix makes it super easy; you can do it on the stovetop. Sauté the burger or sausage and maybe a little onion and add it to the gravy.

This is a gentleman's cookie. Most no-bake cookies are built to please and for ease. This one is a showstopper. It will impress the in-laws.
