My favorite fruit syrup ...

I've been a big fan of elderberries since I was a child and we visited my great aunts who had two big elderberry bushes in their front yard, and made elderberry jam and elderberry wine every year. So when I found elderberry syrup here on Prepared Pantry, I couldn't resist.

This is really good elderberry syrup, too - intense flavor, not too sweet. I use it mostly on pancakes and waffles. I like to mix fresh or frozen berries into my pancake batter, then top my flapjacks with butter and this syrup. Really -- heaven on a plate! I'll keep buying it as long as it's available.
