Raspberry White Chocolate English Scone Mix
Raspberry baking bits with white chocolate--these scones are divine!
I grew up in the West, thinking that scones were made with bread dough. Boy, did these change my stripes! This was our first scone mix. It didn't take us long to develop a whole product line. Now they're famous.
These are gourmet scones--light, buttery, flakey, and very, very good. They're simply loaded with raspberry bits and imported white chocolate.
You'll taste the tart raspberries and white chocolate in every bite!
Your Questions
- I know they're good. Are they hard to make? Not at all. If you can make biscuits, you can make scones—same principle.
- Yeah, but I'm not much of a baker. Don't worry. They're so easy to make. Just follow the instructions, and you'll have bakery-quality scones in under fifteen minutes.
- Are they really raspberry pieces? No, they're like funny-looking chocolate chips. They melt like chocolate chips. That's those crimson splashes you see in your scones.
- How many scones does the mix make? I think we got carried away--it makes 24 good-sized scones.
- Oh, oh! I can't eat that many! Well, maybe you could impress your neighbor or your sister-in-law. They'll love you forever!
- How long will they keep? They're best fresh and warm, maybe with some butter melting on top. You can always freeze them and then refresh them in the microwave.
- Can I freeze them? Okay, here's a couple tricks. The dough will keep for a week in the refrigerator. So you can make some at a time over several mornings.
- And the other trick? Make them up as instructed. But put part of them in the oven and the rest in the freezer, on the pan, and freeze them. Once they're frozen, put them in a plastic bag. When you're ready, take some out, thaw them, and bake them. Your kitchen will smell heavenly all over again.

They're as beautiful as they are good. The raspberry bits melt to make crimson splashes of flavor mixed with melting white chocolate.
