Easter Special! Save 40%! Buttery Shortbread Cookie Mix
The incredible, versatile shortbread cookies. What will you make--frosted or not?
These are fun cookies. They cann be beautiful cookies.
Mostly, we made them as plain, unfrosted shortbread cookies. And then we got a little crazy,--started decorating them, coloring them, frosting them, making sandwich cookies, and even cutting them into shapes. But always, they're just good shortbread cookies.

Answers to Your Questions
What do shortbread cookies taste like? They're buttery cookies that melt in your mouth. Remember old-fashioned "Sandies." They had kind of a sandy texture. You bit them, let them linger in your mouth, feeling the texture in your mouth.
Yes, but what do they taste like? Buttery. The butter seems to melt in your mouth. They're not an overly sweet cookie.
These look pretty fancy. Are they "fancy" cookies? I would call them "elegant" or "sophisticated." They're certainly not cowboy cookies.
Are they delicate, either? I wouldn't call them delicate. They're usually smaller cookies. Take smaller bites and let them linger in your mouth. They're not "two-handed, eat them by the mouthful" cookies.
What happens when you frost them? They become a different cookie. Bare, they're not overly sweet. Frosted, they're sweet meets buttery. It's a chance to savor the frosting.
What's the origin? They're Scottish cooies.
How many does it make? Again, you're not making large cookies. It makes up to four dozen small to medium-sized cookies.
Anything else? Yes, serve these to your guests. They're perfect cookies for friends in the cool of the evening and a quiet conversation
Yummy Spring!
The Buttery Shortbread Cookie mix is a wonderful way to start thinking Spring. Trying something new did not disappoint. The cookie mix was the base and I shaped it into Easter eggs. Happy Spring to all! --Carolyn Roe
Awesome cookies!!!! Like potato chips can't have just one. The one thing I will do different next time is probably roll one roll instead of two. Get a bigger cookie yet cut the same thickness. --Kim Luft
Melt in your mouth butter cookies! When I tasted these cookies, I couldn’t believe how delicious they were. They truly melted in your mouth. This is the only mix I will ever use again. --Gayle Sabin
Cut, Dipped, and Frosted Shortbread Cookies

We dipped the cookies you see here in frosting, sometimes chocolate, sometimes vanilla, and sometimes pretty colors. But for years, we ate them as plain, melt-in-your-mouth cookies.
Preparation notes: Cream the butter with the sugar mixture, which is in the bag, and add the dough mix. Form a log, chill, slice, and bake. They can also be made as cutout cookies. Complete directions are included.
Dipped Cookies

These are dipped in chocolate frosting, nuts added, and then drizzled with vanilla. These are refrigerator cookies rolled into a log and then pressed and molded square. The cut slices are a little over 1/4-iinch thick before baking.
