• What makes Pioneer Valley Jam so good? It's the company. Wayne Parke and his wife started the company. They grow their fruit. Not all of it.  But the fruit they grows in the foothills of the Wasatch mountains--it's theirs. They know fruit. They grow it. They cook their jam in large kettles, but it's small batches in the commercial jam world.
  
• I get the fruit. What do they add to it? Not much. It's not diluted with water or corn syrup. You get real fruit--no flavors, no preservatives, no colors. And no corn syrup is a big deal.
• And the packaging? It's classy, "gifty"  hex glass jars.  The label are first class, foil-based. Each jar contains eight ounces of premium jam.
