Baked Asparagus with Walnut Butter

This is absolutely wonderful!  The asparagus is buttery and almost crunchy.  The heat in the oven roasts the nuts so they are very flavorful. 

Ingredients

2 pounds washed trimmed asparagus spears
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup walnut pieces
3 tablespoons butter

Directions

  1. Place the asparagus in a baking dish.  Sprinkle with salt and toss with walnut pieces. 
  2. Cut the butter into chunks and arrange on top of the asparagus.
  3. Bake for 30 minutes at 375 or until done.
